Southern California Team Matches Specific Talents to Any Company’s Needs
IRVINE, CALIF. – Oct. 3, 2012 – Marketing executives at companies across Southern California are working to do more with smaller staffs. Meanwhile, the breadth of marketing skills necessary is testing the capabilities of traditional advertising agencies. A group of marketing veterans announces the creation of a new type of agency in Southern California born to solve both problems, delivering a wide range of business expertise in a method that lets these companies choose exactly the skills they need for any project.
The Orange County Consulting and Marketing (OCCAM) team was formed in August, 2012, by Tim Templeton, an Orange County marketing executive with extensive background in technology marketing and product development. “The name OCCAM is a play on the Occam’s Razor principle which states that the simplest solution is often the best,” says Templeton. “After all, what’s simpler than hiring an expert? I saw an opportunity to create a new kind of marketing agency. We’re turning the model inside out by eliminating overhead, and delivering services directly to companies that want more control over the marketing support they need.”
Founding members of the OCCAM Team include Hank Mondaca, mobile marketing; Ray Benedicktus, marketing analytics and research; Jayson Duncan, video content marketing; Glenn Hansen, PR and marketing communication; Steve Giraud, photography; Chris Marocchi, marketing strategy; Lesley Sattin, promotional products; Lidija Davidson, branding; Rob Boyce, displays; Diane Denish, printing and direct mail; and Templeton himself in marketing strategy.
To publicly introduce the model and network with professionals throughout the region, the team will host the OCCAM Summit, October 10 in Irvine. The event will include educational seminars on mobile marketing, branding, market research and product introductions. Attendees can network with OCCAM Team members and discuss best practices and marketing wisdom across a wide range of disciplines. The event will be held at the Back Bay Conference Center in Irvine, Calif., October 10. Visit www.occamsummit.com for details.
